Fantastic project, TV is the way forward for music.
My Pop Diary is a 13 part reality TV show about making it in today’s music industry. We focus on the goings on behind the scenes of independent production label Vhp Records Aus.
22 year old Melanie Jade, has always dreamed of pop stardom. Her dream is on it way to being fulfilled after signing a solo record deal and now embarks on the recording of her debut album.
Producer Kehinde has a dream of becoming a hit maker. To achieve this he is creating a brand new girl group to front his songs and also steps in front of the microphone himself to record a few songs with the help of some friends.
51 year old Bob Messenger is a songwriter who had always dreamed of recording an album but life managed to get in the way. A brush with cancer in 2008 changed all that and Bob finally gets to fulfil his dream and record his album Better Late Than Never.
My Pop Diary is broadcast on Melbourne’s C31 TV station and is also broadcast on C44 digital in SD format.
Quality artist, a very good way to kick off the Music Blog IMO.
From an early age of 13, Jenna Dwyer began to teach herself how to play the guitar and piano. By 16 she had recorded her first demo at Empire Records, working with the likes of Trevor Carter (Delta Goodrem, Missy higgins, Nickleback), and Mandy Kane.
At 17 she entered Australian Idol, landing in the top 50. At 18 She re entered Australian Idol, being cut before the top 30.
At 19 she signed officially to Empire Records, and has now moved to the UK to pursue music abroad.
A lot of producing was also done with Australian Chart cracker Marc Collis, who is releasing his debut album this month on mainstream radio.
Jenna also completed a feature film due for North American release early 2011 called "From Parts Unknown", a sci-fi action film involving maniac zombies and based around professional female wrestling. Very quirky...
Being around such driven industry role models, Jenna has a tough skin and a turbulent drive. Check out the showreel to preview!
